Your realization of the gospel and its simplicity and yet amazing complexity are encouraging. Something I try to keep in the back of my mind is that we are all dying (a physical death) some have a better knowledge of the relative time, but none of us knows the day or hour. We however who are followers of Christ know the hope of the gospel and the life eternal. I will pray for a miracle of healing of the physical, but I will pray for countinuting strenght of the spirit. Live life with purpose. I love a quote by John Piper (actually I don't think it is originally his) "One life, twill soon be past. Only what is done for Christ will last." That is over the door frame of my house as I leave the hosue every day I try to read it and live that when I walk out the door into the rest of the dying world who does not have hope.

Blessings to another sister.

EricCognitive Dissonancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09673510587850318887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7933954400198533168.post-80964656431122646062009-06-09T14:57:24.967-04:002009-06-09T14:57:24.967-04:00Amen Heather! A verse I have always found to be encouraging is found in 2 Corithians 1:3-5

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows."

Thank you for sharing your comfort with me. I hope we can get together soon.

-KerryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
